Terre di Veleja

Production zone: The area between Castell’Arquato and Piozzano, in the Province of Piacenza.

Wines produced: Whites and their sparkling varieties and must from partially fermented grapes, reds and their sparkling varieties and must from partially fermented grapes, rosé and its sparkling variety and must from partially fermented grapes, Berverdino and its sparkling variety, Fortana and its sparkling variety, Marsanne and its sparkling variety, Moscato and its sparkling and white raisin wine varieties, and Trebbiano and its sparkling variety.

Grapes: White wines without specified grape varieties are 60% Malvasia White di Candia Aromatica and Trebbiano Romagnolo, and contain other authorized or recommended grape varieties of the same color from the Province of Piacenza (no more than 40%).

Red wines without specified grape varieties are no less than 70% Barbera and Bonarda, and contain other authorized or recommended grape varieties of the same color from the Province of Piacenza (no more than 30%). Rosè wines without specified grape varieties no less than 60% Barbera and Fortana and contain other authorized or recommended grape varieties of the same color from the Province of Piacenza (no more than 40%).

For wines with specified grape varieties, these make up 85% of the product, along with other authorized and recommended grape varieties of the same color from the Province of Piacenza (no more than 15%).
