This ruby-red wine, garnet reddish if mellowed, has a winy, intense smell and can have four different tastes: dry or palatable, mellow or sweet. The dry version is to be drunk at a temperature of 18 °C, the mellow or sweet versions are ideal if served at 12-14 °C. All types are perfectly matched with pastas and grilled meat. The “Novello” type has a minimum alcohol content of 11 degrees and is to be served at 14-16 °C. It goes well together with roast chestnuts and light entrées.
